Fanboys SAVED!!!

Ahh, a sweet sight/site.

"I have been brought back into the editing room to work on a final version… All the key people are back. That’s all good."
- Kyle Newman

That's right, the Weinsteins admitted defeat and threw Stephen Brill out on his "What about Mighty Ducks 4?" keister. Curious how this news came out only from Newman and not from Weinstein. In a parallel universe, Weinstein could have tried to schmooze us and get us on our good sides by ceremoniously handing over the reins to Newman. I guess (like other administrations) he's not good at admitting mistakes.

The SDW headquarters has declared the protest over. This begs the question: should we consider this a battle in a larger war? Perhaps we rest, have a toast at the Stumble Inn, then regroup rejuvenated. After all, it's not like Weinstein has stepped down. I, for one, would like to ensure that Fanboys gets a theatrical release, even if it's limited, if anything for the sake of reparations.

Secondly, it's already been reported that Tarantino's long awaited Inglorious Bastards will be released in two parts, at the behest of Weinstein, a la Kill Bill. If I remember correctly, I'm still twiddling my thumbs waiting for a release of The Whole Bloody Affair.

We lucky few.... and so on, everyone.
